Orthopedic Surgeons For Orthobiologics, PRP, and Stem Cells (Bone Marrow Concentrate)

Great to see Kristy Weber, MD, President of AAOS (American Academy Of Orthopedic Surgeons) advertise for Academy evidence based orthobiologic lectures at the upcoming Annual Meeting. Drs. Dragoo and Halbrecht and Feeley have lectures that should at least promote interest amongst the 30,000 orthopedic surgeons in the USA. Orthopedic surgeons see patients daily who may benefit from orthobiologics and we are approaching a time where simply refusing to be educated about the positive and negative evidence is not going to be an option if you want to be a good doctor/surgeon and a patient advocate. Orthobiologics costs are at a point where other alternatives are actually more expensive when you consider length of benefit, complications, recovery time, and patient satisfaction.
