Accessibility Statement

We accept most insurance plans including Medicare and Tricare. We do not accept workers’ compensation claims, and we do not accept Letters of Protection for legal cases. Our office will verify your insurance so that you know your coverage prior to your appointment. Most orthobiologic procedures are not covered by any insurance. You may be able to use your FSA account or HSA account to cover your orthobiologic procedures. If you have any financial concerns our office will be happy to review your insurance coverage with you. We let all of our patients know their estimated surgery cost. We operate at facilities that are in network with virtually all major Insurance companies.

How to check your coverage before your visit

  1. Review your benefits. Check your policy for eligibility, your deductible and what your plan covers. If you are not sure where to look, our office can help.
  2. Bring your documents. Your insurance card and photo identification, plus any referral or authorization paperwork your plan requires.
  3. Let us verify it. Our office verifies your insurance before your appointment so you know your coverage in advance rather than afterwards.
  4. Understand what you are responsible for. Deductible, co-pay and co-insurance for anything covered — and a clear figure for anything that is not, including orthobiologic treatment.

Credit and financing options

Because most orthobiologic procedures are not covered by insurance, this is an out-of-pocket investment for most patients. Two financing options are available. Both are arranged directly with the lender rather than through this office, and you are welcome to ask our clinical specialists about either before deciding anything — call (877) 777-8883.

CareCredit

A health and wellness credit card that can be used for treatment here. Interest rates are typically lower than regular credit card rates, and we offer financing plans up to twelve months in length. You can check whether you prequalify without affecting your credit score, and applying takes a few minutes.

Common questions

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept most insurance plans, including Medicare and Tricare, and we operate at facilities that are in network with virtually all major insurance companies. We do not accept workers’ compensation claims or Letters of Protection for legal cases. Our office verifies your coverage before your appointment so there are no surprises.

Do you accept workers’ compensation?

No. Texas Orthobiologics does not accept workers’ compensation claims, and we do not accept Letters of Protection for legal cases. If your injury happened at work, you will need to see a provider who participates in your employer’s workers’ compensation program.

Is orthobiologic treatment covered by insurance?

Generally no. Most orthobiologic procedures are not covered by any insurance, which is why the cost is discussed openly before you decide anything. Every patient is given a clear figure rather than a range once we know what is being treated.

Can I use my FSA or HSA?

You may be able to use a flexible spending account or a health savings account toward orthobiologic treatment. Plans differ, so check with your administrator — and our office is happy to help you work out what applies.

What if I have financial concerns about treatment?

Raise them early rather than late. Our office will review your insurance coverage with you, give you an estimated cost for surgery, and walk you through the CareCredit and Cherry options above. Nobody is asked to commit to treatment at the visit.

What is CareCredit and how do I apply?

CareCredit is a health and wellness credit card that can be used for treatment here. Interest rates are typically lower than regular credit card rates, and we offer financing plans up to twelve months in length. You can check whether you prequalify without affecting your credit score, and applying takes a few minutes. Applications, approval and terms are handled entirely by CareCredit.

Do you offer a payment plan?

Yes. Texas Orthobiologics offers deferred payment plans of up to three months through Cherry, interest-free for patients who qualify, with the first payment due at the time of purchase. CareCredit financing is available for up to twelve months, at interest rates typically lower than regular credit card rates. Both are arranged directly with the lender rather than through this office.

Who do I call with a billing or coverage question?

Call the office on (877) 777-8883. Our clinical specialists handle these questions directly, and it is worth speaking to them before you rule a treatment out — there are usually more options than are obvious from the outside.
