What you need to know about regenerative medicine in orthopedics!

Regenerative medicine involves the use of autologous biologics which are substances like blood or bone marrow derived from a patient’s own body to stimulate healing of injured tissues such as tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and bone. These treatments are particularly valuable in the management of conditions where conventional options like corticosteroid injections or surgical interventions may not yield durable outcomes.

At Texas Orthobiologics we currently specialize in using platelet rich plasma (PRP) and bone marrow concentrate (BMC-stem cells) as our two primary orthobiologics.  We also use other non-surgical techniques to benefit our patients and keep them living their best lives without surgery!

At our Dallas based clinic, we routinely treat patients with:

  • Knee osteoarthritis

  • Tendon and ligament injuries

  • Rotator cuff tendinopathy

  • Chronic low back pain

  • Labral tears and meniscal injuries

  • Sports injuries in high school, collegiate, and professional athletes
