I’m based in Dallas, but I see patients every week from Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Rockwall, Southlake, Grapevine, and beyond. A lot of them say the same thing when they finally get here: “I wish I hadn’t waited so long.”
Some waited because they thought the drive wasn’t worth it. Some tried a clinic closer to home first and weren’t happy with the results. Some just didn’t realize a practice like ours existed in DFW.
I want to change that. So here’s a direct answer to what I hear patients Googling before they call us:
What makes Texas Orthobiologics different from other PRP and stem cell clinics in the Dallas area?
There are a lot of regenerative medicine clinics in DFW right now. That’s actually a good thing — it means more patients have access to non-surgical options for joint pain and sports injuries. But not all clinics are the same, and the differences matter.
Here’s what sets us apart:
- I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, not just a regenerative medicine provider. That means I can look at your imaging, diagnose the actual problem, and tell you honestly whether PRP or stem cell therapy is right for your specific situation — or whether surgery is the better answer. Most regenerative medicine clinics can’t offer that.
- I only use autologous treatments — meaning your own platelets for PRP and your own bone marrow cells for stem cell (BMAC) therapy. We draw from your body, process it in our office, and inject it the same day. No donor products. No exosomes from unknown sources. This is the FDA-compliant approach and, in my view, the safest and most effective one.
- I use musculoskeletal ultrasound for every injection. Guiding a PRP or stem cell injection with real-time imaging isn’t just a nice-to-have — it’s the difference between placing the treatment exactly where it needs to go and guessing. I’ve been teaching this technique to other physicians since 2008. I’ve trained over 1,600 clinicians in MSK ultrasound and orthobiologics. It matters.
Is the drive to Dallas worth it?
That’s a fair question, and I’ll answer it honestly. If you’re coming from Plano, Frisco, McKinney, or Allen, you’re looking at 25-40 minutes on the highway. From Rockwall, maybe 35-45 minutes. Southlake and Grapevine are 30-45 minutes.
Most of our procedures are a single office visit. You come in, we draw your blood or bone marrow, process it on-site, and inject it under ultrasound guidance — all in the same appointment. You’re usually in and out in under two hours.
For a treatment that could help you avoid surgery or get back to the things you love — the drive is worth it. My patients tell me that all the time.
How do I know if I’m a candidate?
The honest answer is: you may not know until you talk to someone who can actually read your MRI and examine you in person. One thing I’ve noticed over 30 years of practice is that a lot of patients have been told they’re “too far gone” for anything other than surgery — and that turns out not to be true once we look at the full picture.
I offer a straightforward consultation where I review your imaging, talk through your history, and give you an honest assessment of whether regenerative medicine is likely to help you. If it’s not the right fit, I’ll tell you that too.
