Tips for getting the best bone marrow concentrate (Stem Cell Injection!)

*Regenerative medicine fact*
Still believe that an open ended Jamshidi needle leads to peripheral blood dilution?
Well, It does NOT if you use good technique:
1. Use smaller syringes (ie. 10cc)
2. Use smaller volume draws per syringe...6-8cc in a 10cc syringe for example 3. Draw from multiple depths AND/OR from multiple cortical entry points.
I draw from multiple depths...from superficial to deep... and just one entry!

Do I have the receipts (the proof?) Yea, we test every bone marrow aspirate and bone marrow concentrate to see that we are not getting blood.

The picture above is a Horiba printout showing no blood dilution of the bone marrow aspirate using an open ended needle. .....the concept of peripheral blood dilution is not really a "thing" clinically...at least not in the last 7-8 years with this technique!
