Testimonial: Recent knee stem cell patient

This video documents an immediate post-procedure testimonial with Dr. Don Buford and his patient, Mark, a power plant project manager whose job requires extensive walking. Having already undergone a successful total knee replacement on his right leg several years prior, Mark visited the clinic seeking orthobiologic options for his left knee. His primary goal was to explore how stem cell therapy could potentially regenerate the joint or delay the onset of needing a second total knee replacement.

Following a detailed consultation, Mark opted to undergo an in-office, bone marrow-derived stem cell procedure that same day. He notes that the entire process went much smoother than expected; the bone marrow aspiration performed under local anesthesia was virtually painless for him, ranking at just a 1 out of 10, while the actual knee injection rated a mild 2 out of 10. Though Dr. Buford points out that the typical patient experiences a temporary pain level of 4 or 5 during the aspiration, Mark sailed through the procedure with ease and expressed pleasant surprise at being able to complete the treatment during his initial evaluation.
