It is a short 10 minute intro talk on the differences between bone marrow aspirate and bone marrow concentrate.
Don Buford, MD gave this lecture at the 2019 Mexican Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon Annual Meeting. Dr. Buford discusses why bone marrow concentrate can help with shoulder pain. Don’t accept joint pain without considering the treatment options we have at the Texas Orthobiologic Institute! Surgery is not always the best answer.

A regenerative medicine doctor (Dr. Charles Lee) recently asked the CBER division of the FDA if Wharton’s Jelly products were being correctly regulated and sold for use in humans. Guess what? The FDA said “NO”. All allograft stem cell Wharton’s Jelly products currently on the market in the USA are being sold in violation of FDA regulations. Avoid any company and ALL doctors and clinics selling this stuff. On top of it all….there is no science that it even works for human orthopedic conditions anyway. This is why we only use bone marrow derived stem cells from your own body.

In this short video clip Don Buford, MD answers a surprisingly common question asked by patients…..”Will my knee xrays get better after a stem cell injection” As it turns out, there are many “stem cell” clinics running stem cell seminars at which patients are told that their cartilage will completely regenerate and that their X-rays will get better. This is not proven by any published study in orthopedics and patients should not be told this as a sales ploy.
